*has enormous weight lifted off shoulders*
This is the most I've written in one go all year! It's turning out a little differently than I planned, but I'm fine with that.

 | 12:42 am - What you've been waiting for: Cherrybomb! I've felt pretty up and down over the last week or so. My friends are home and they are awesome of course, so I've been very much happy about that - but with it comes some complications (some of you may be able to have a guess what that's in relation to). That part is not so good, but I'm learning to deal with it a whole lot better. It's taken me over a week to put this post together, and it still isn't all I wanted to write! *gives up*
So, from the top...
As you all know, I was quite scared about getting on the plane and as predicted I started to feel pretty sick and get a bit panic-y as it was taking off but my sister is wonderful, and she knows me so well, so she started asking me about Deathly Hallows - and I ended up explaining the whole of Ron leaving, and The Silver Doe and everything - and it was a brilliant way to distract me. The journey was supposed to be about 40 minutes long but we couldn't have been in the air more than twenty minutes or so when the Captain told us we were starting our decent. So, I could just about manage a half hour flight talking about Harry Potter!
We got there and shocolate and oncelikeshari (who are both as wonderful and insane as I thought they'd be) were a little bit later than we'd expected but I spotted them straight away because of Shari's hair! The first thing Shari said was, "You're smaller than me!" LOL
We went to meet Scrib at the bus station who was an absolute sweetheart. She has her pretty little accent and giggles all the time and was really friendly.
We spent the time leading up to the film getting something to eat, where Shoc showed me some HP pics on her iPhone that I was drooling over for a while! Then we went back to our hotel rooms to dump our stuff and while me and my sis took a nap, the ladies were taking pictures of Shari's boobs through the glass door of their bathroom LOL.
After sitting in another pub surrounded by random colourful crates on the floor for half an hour, watching the clock, it was finally time to go and see CHERRYBOMB. We went in and sat down and there were lots of official people very dressed up - writer, directors, other members of the cast and crew - but unfortunately none of the leads as they all had other projects to attend to. We were given a little strip of paper with 1 to 5 stars on it and we had to rip through the amount of stars at the end to give the film a rating. I debated just ripping through 5 stars straight away but made myself wait...
I'm so thankful for Shari, who took a notebook in the first time she went to see it and therefore missed NOTHING, so I could go back and read her review and pick out all the parts I want to mention so that I don't forget anything. I'm not going to mention EVERY SINGLE THING like she did, but I will mention my MOST favourite bits... which is almost EVERY SINGLE THING. Some parts I have almost seemed to copy and paste it from hers because she said it in such a perfect way that I didn't want to spoil it! LOL
( Random Cherrybomb-related Babbling! - With blatant TELLING YOU WHAT HAPPENS! If you want to really ENJOY the film properly, I don't think you should read my squee. That's my advice, take it or leave it! )
And you really shouldn't have read that, because it'll be better if you see it first-hand!
And after all that I think I'm going to have to leave it because I'm exhausted and it's taken me DAYS to write and I've written nothing about the next day when we went the leisure centre and had our own little Cherrybomb Con there, and about the ENDLESS HOURS OF WAITING for our flight home! *yawn*
This is the bit you were all waiting for, anyway! Enjoy!

 | 11:21 pm - Cherrybomb...
... was awesome! Rupert is absolute perfection, and I loved every minute of it. I'll do a more detailed post when I'm home because I'm tired and making more mistakes on my phone than usual. Am going to sleep (far too much exciyement for one day!) and hopefully dream of a red-headed, Irish-speaking, wet t-shirt wearing man with fantastic shoulders and a freckly back! *huge sigh* xxx Posted via LiveJournal.app.

 | 12:52 am - Technology These Days! Just spent an hour and a half watching the Apple Conference about the new iPhone OS 3.0 that will be available this summer! I am so unbelievably excited. So many features that I thought would make it even better are being introduced!
If you've got an iPhone, check it out here. It spends a great deal of time talking about how they've changed things for developers but it's well worth watching too because it' amazing the stuff they can do and what it will mean for the applications.
If you don't want to sit there for that long watching it all, I'll just tell you a couple of things that I was most excited about:
- Cut, Copy, Paste and Undo across all applications! - Deleting single/multiple messages within a text conversation rather than all at once! - MMS support for pics (!), audio, contacts, location. - Selecting more than one photo to email at once (BIG YAY FOR ME!) - Spotlight - new search screen to the left of the home screen to enable search across Contacts, Notes, Mail, Calendar, Library. - Shake to shuffle. - Landscape capability/keyboard across all key applications. - New Voice Memo App
A few of the upgrades aren't compatible with the original iPhone, but the majority are. And best of all, the upgrade is free for iPhone users! I was worried they were going to charge.

 | 01:08 am - Yellow Fever ♥ Just caught up with the episode of Supernatural I missed on Sunday night and OMG MY FAVOURITE OF THIS SEASON SO FAR. It made me all nostalgic for old episodes from like the first season. It was just the boys doing their thing with a hilarious Dean and not a huge focus on THE BIG PICTURE. Don't get me wrong, I adore the big picture and learning how everything slots into place, but sometimes it's just nice to get back to Old Skool Sam and Dean being beautiful and badass and hilarious.
Dean: *looking at gun* I'm not holding that, it might go off. I'LL MAN THE FLASHLIGHT!
Wimpy!Dean = ♥ His girly scream when the cat jumped out of the locker had me in stitches! And the 'Eye of The Tiger' outtake? OMG I WANT JENSEN. I WANT HIM BAD.

I need some new SPN icons but I'm scared to go looking in case I spoil myself for Season 4 that we're not up to yet! :( If anyone has any favourites they want to link me to or just show me so I might steal that don't give anything away I'll appreciate it a lot - funny!Dean ones are a bonus.
---
I know everyone is all flaily about that new Rupert pic but I have to say I'm not feeling it that much. I mean, I adore him and he is awesome at acting with his eyes and portraying a certain emotion even in a still picture and the image is brilliant for that. It's not one of my favourites of him though. Just saying!

 | 08:53 pm - Bits and Bobs ♥ I booked the 30/31 March off work no problem today so yay - Belfast, here I come!
♥ I'm going out on Saturday night with some girls from work. I'm hoping it'll be fun, just not quite as fun as last time LOL.
Χ I booked my driving test for a week or so before Belfast. I am SHITTING myself. The first ever real-life entry I made on this journal in Sept 2007 was about how I'd failed my driving test. It's taken me this long and a few refresher lessons over the last couple of weeks to work up my courage to book it again. I feel sick.
Χ I was kept up last night for about two hours with AWFUL period pains. I tried painkillers and a hot water bottle and it just WOULDN'T GO AWAY. Bleugh.
Χ Crimewatch breaks my heart. I just don't understand some people. At all. Current Mood: heartbroken
